Halloween 2020 And Paint Party Friday

Halloween was fun, short, and cold. Hubby and I spent part of the night with my brother and his family.  My nephews are superhero obsessed at the moment so my brother and my sister in law dressed as superheroes too.

I dressed up too as Sadness from Inside Out

On the art front, I finished up the box with the Marine portrait.  I also post a new box on my Confuzzled Designs Etsy store. It is a Stranger Things Season 1 Hidden Treasure Box.

What fun have you had this week?  Have you done anything creative?

Paint Party Friday And Happy Halloween!!!

What are you going to be for Halloween this year?  I haven't dressed up for Halloween for some time but it is my favorite holiday. We never get trick or treaters where we live 😞  This year we are lucky to be able to visit my nephews who are 5 and 3.  This year they are obsessed with superheroes.  Last year they were Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo.

(Logan and Jaxon on Halloween 2019)

As for me this year I am going to be a character from Pixar's Inside Out.   Hopefully Photos next week. 😉

As for painting or anything art related I have had much time to do much except the one box I have been asked to personalize. Every other day I am helping out my dad who has been in and out of hospitals this year.  He is a Covid survivor. He had it in April. His body has been pretty weak and he is still recovering.  My health is not great so on the days in between I tend to pass out all day.

I realized I have not shared this piece of art of acrylics on canvas. I call it "The Three Cute Evils"

Update and Paint Party Friday

So I haven't painted much this year and I can't believe it is almost over.  I am working on a couple boxes 1 of them actually commissioned the other 2 just my wacky inspirations.

I thought would share on commission. It is a work in progress...

This is a box for a former marine. I decided to paint his portrait on the top of the box. Probably the smallest portrait I have ever done. Took me a couple tries to be happy with.

The person who ordered the box wanted me to incorporated messages like "Thank you for your service!", "You're My Favorite Marine!" and "You'll Always be My Hero!"
So I had some little miniatures and decided to make them holding posters with the messages.

I still have more to paint on the inside. I am going to paint the marine's flag inside the top. I then have to seal and gloss the top and bottom. Oh, add another miniature in the front.

I linked this with Paint Party Friday.
