Daily Draw - Release the Demon

Today on reddit's Daily Draw the theme is Free Draw.  So today I also drew for my book blog and piece of fan art for a short story called Lucifer's Daughter by Kelly Armstrong.  

Inspiration Sunday - The Swans Of Fifth Avenue (Fan Art)

I have a new event on my book blog Confuzzled Books called Sketchy Saturday.  My idea is to create fan art from a book I have read or I am in the process of reading.

Saturday’s current art is inspired by the book The Swans Of Fifth Avenue by Melanie Benjamin.

The is scene in the book where Babe Paley is comforting Truman Capote as he lays his head in her lap. This image stuck with me because the way it is described by the author.  There was so many feelings with just this image.   

So to capture this image I researched images of the real Babe Paley and Truman Capote.  

Putting the two images together I came up with this.
