I call this The Fairy Trap. It is oil on canvas and a work in progress. I have clean it up a bit. Can you see the fairies. One is being digested. Yeah I have to work on that.
I did this for a contest on EBSQ. The Theme is Carnivorous Plants.
I looked up pictures and saw one Venus fly trap with a fly or beetle and you could see the silhouette of the bug in the trap. I thought what if fairies get caught by venus fly traps too.

A great subject for a painting. I look forward to following it's development. I painted carnivorous plants once too! No fairies though- such a good idea.
