Algernon The Love Dragon

I created a couple of dragons years ago and lost them.  Now that I found them I have been trying to come up with clever quotes or images so maybe to use them on the Zazzle site.

Here is the newest dragon. His name Algernon which means mustache in french.

It that time of year again.  Christmas is upon us and it's time to send out cards. This the third year I did the art for our Christmas cards.

Today Daily Draw work is Pixels.  I had the idea of lips blowing a red ball (kinda like a dandelion) and making a wish as the pixels from the ball fly away.

Inspiration Sunday - The Swans Of Fifth Avenue (Fan Art)

I have a new event on my book blog Confuzzled Books called Sketchy Saturday.  My idea is to create fan art from a book I have read or I am in the process of reading.

Saturday’s current art is inspired by the book The Swans Of Fifth Avenue by Melanie Benjamin.

The is scene in the book where Babe Paley is comforting Truman Capote as he lays his head in her lap. This image stuck with me because the way it is described by the author.  There was so many feelings with just this image.   

So to capture this image I researched images of the real Babe Paley and Truman Capote.  

Putting the two images together I came up with this.

Sparrow On Birch

Meet dragon named Birch.  On his wings sits a bird. The idea came from a Christmas song by the Croft Family called Sparrow In The Birch.  Awesome song see the video below.
