Sunday Sushi - Dragon Wonderland

This one the first drawing I did on the computer years ago. This is Poinsettia and Mistletoe.  They were part of my Dragonz and Dollz site.  If you don’t know what Dollz are you can Google them and you will probably see a few still but I don’t think they are as popular to do any more.  They are little cartoon pixel images usually of people but I did people and dragons.  I wanted to be different.

Sugar Skull Box and Padre Pio Box

I did these both the beginning of this month.  One for Day of the Dead and the other for All Saints Day.

I also attended my first craft fair only sold one box but it was slow traffic.

New Confuzzled Faes!

For Halloween I came up with a little Confuzzled Mischief Fae  and used it on Confuzzled Books for a post. 

I am thinking of making a Confuzzled Fae Calendar on Zazzle

Then I also drew this Snow Fae a while back but never got to finish it until today.  It's a little different.

I painted two ATC (Artist Trading Cards) both are peacocks from a children's story I wrote and hope to one day get published.

Holiday Boxes and A Breast Cancer Survivor Frame

So I have 2 new picture boxes and a breast cancer survivor frame up at the Etsy Store.

I am not so sure about the frame.  I painted thinking that the angel wing represent guardian angel like the pin on it but I think it could be taken wrong.    I have up any way I really didn't mean it in bad taste.

Here I have the Pilgrim / Turkey Picture box.  I painted his one arm kinda funky it just came out that way but kinda looks like he has it on his hip.

This one is my favorite Jack Frost / Yeti Picture Box.

At first I was going to paint a Snowman but then Jack Frost came to mind and then the Yeti decided to visit.

Sunday Sushi - Preparing for the Holidays

Halloween is coming which is the start of the holidays to me.  So I have been preparing the Etsy store with holiday items.    Only thing is I haven't sold anything on Etsy yet.  I am hopeful because I like my stuff so usually if you like your items that means someone might right?  I have some people who have favorited a couple though so that is promising. 

I have sold in the Zazzle store only a few things but the items I sell at the Etsy store I have only sold at flea markets.  I am  bad at marketing I really try but I know it something you have to keep at and that is my downfall. 

I have a few things I am painting more for the Etsy store and couple ideas for Zazzle Art.  I have a Thanksgiving box, a Breast Cancer Frame and Medusa Mask.  The hardest will be the mask I have to work on how I am doing the snakes. :-/

For the Zazzle store I don't really have any holiday ideas well one but I don't know if I can do it right.  The ideas I have are of caricatures of Reagan and Obama... I did a study of Reagan already but Obama is still an idea.

WIP - Just Fooling..

I am working on this painting at the moment.  It has references to Tarot, and Bible.  It needs a lot of work yet. Lately I haven't felt the need to work on it but yet I have it staring in front of me everyday.   Part of me wants to work on it to fix the errors like the arm and more since it is right in front of me.  The other part doesn't feel like bringing out the paints.

Clown Entrance

The more I look at this one and think why didn't I paint in oil or acrylics.  I entered this into a exhibit too at Ebsqart.com.  It just did not come out as I had hope after I added the blue.  I don't work with pencils or colored pencils that often so I need work with them.  Plus these were watercolor pencils so I used water on it to mask the lines but that didn't work either.  Now I think I am going to delete it from Ebsq and do it again.

I am not sure if I studied a picture with this one or not.  I know the title came from the lazy river in Disney World at one of the water parks.  That park was so nice a relaxing.

This is a portrait of my Great Grandmother Rose Kilpatrick and my father sitting on her lap.  It was on a small canvas so the eyes were really hard to do.

Old Painting - Graceful Ceiling - 2007

Have you ever look at clouds or a ceiling and seen images in it. Well this what I use to see when I took baths at my parents house.  An image of a baby in a bathtub surrounded by skeleton, clown and dragon.   I didn't show this one off so well.  I don't know why I picked brown as a background.  Looks much better in drawing then painting.

 Another Abstract.  Some people don't consider this as abstract because I was really set on a meaning.  I think the meaning of art can come after.  Like I see this as very Georgia O'Keefe like but maybe that is just me.

Ignore the date stamp.  I trying to figure out how the camera worked then I think... I call this Excess I .  I felt bad about having all this excess oil paint after done a painting so I tried abstract.  This is what I got.  No real meaning just excess. lol

I did this painting once before and thought it was horrible and threw it out but I realize now that that first one was much better then this.  So to say the least I am not happy with this one.  Oh can you tell what is missing in this picture. lol

Sunday Sushi - Reaching Out

This week I attended group at a new community place for people recovering from illness call The Reach Out Foundation.  Website here http://rofbucks.net/ 

The Group I attended was called Creative People in Recovery and it meets on Saturdays.

I was very anxious the whole time and I don't know whether I am going back.  

It is nice to be in a group with people who have similar interests but I was having a hard time enjoying myself.

Anyway for the week ahead I will probably show more of my old paintings.  I do have some things that are WIP like a snow white box and more Confuzzled Fae in Clay but I really having been doing much painting or crafting mostly writing. I have ideas for caricatures of Reagan and Obama in mind but have not buckled down to do them.  I have a schedule but I haven't really been following it so maybe I need to change it.  I don't know.

Yes I know his arms and hand are kinda off.  It's not perfect but I tried and if I tried for perfect I would never call it done but done it is.

I haven't been doing much crafting or painting.  Except in my head.  I have ideas but just haven't formed them on paper or in paint.  So I thought I would show some of my old paintings.  This was for a contest that I think the theme was circus.  From just doing it from my head I think it came out pretty good. I still consider myself a amateur when it comes to painting.

This one didn't come out that great.  That hat is hard to get right.  Any way you can get a photo sculpture of this and personalize the sign on the post cards and greeting cards.
